Alphonse Maillé (hybrid china) |
spring will come.
Apple Blossom (Rambler, Hybrid Multiflora) |
It will look like this:

with profusion of blooms....
a row of Centenaire de Lourdes (floribunda) |
....and petals scattered on the ground.
Soupert et Notting (moss) |
'Portland from Glendora' |

Hi Masha,
ReplyDeleteThank you for a beautiful spring walk with your beautiful roses, I can almost smell them.
With love from Elly.
So pretty! I can't wait for my roses to start blooming. They don't even have leaves yet, so it will be awhile! I'll have to keep getting my rose fix here. Thanks for sharing those lovely pictures.
ReplyDeleteI would so love to see the Heritage Rose Garden. Thanks for the colorful tour. Their is nothing more romantic and can take you back to gentler times than a rose garden.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, that Glendora... Here in Pa, we don't even have the Lenten roses (helleborus) blooming yet, and the real roses are still months away. Thanks so much for the pictures to keep me going until June.
ReplyDeleteWow... How beautiful, sigh... Spring seems so long away sometimes. Thanks for making a bright spot in my day.
ReplyDeleteMerci, Sophie. I can't wait for April!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Elly for such a wonderful comment.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Shannon. I have a few inches of growth on mine, and maybe a couple of buds, but they are a long way from opening yet....
ReplyDeleteThank you, Donna, and yes, that's true, especially a rose garden full of old roses...
ReplyDeleteThank you, Chester Garden, we have no roses yet either, Teas begin in March, the main flush is in April and old European roses don't usually start till May...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, Masha! I would love to visit the San Jose Heritage Rose Garden in spring this year!
ReplyDeleteI am completely surprised that 'Baronne Prevost' is blooming for me already, the rest of the roses are way behind her. Some have just set tiny buds and others haven't even leaved out yet.
Can't wait for the spring flush peak. I am so curious when that will be here in San Diego this year.

A few minutes ago, I thought I've seen the loveliest orchids. Now I have just seen the loveliest roses!!! The last rose is really stunning!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, I am imagining how the colours brighten up in weeks to come.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Christina, you are lucky to have roses blooming already. We are weeks away...
ReplyDeleteThank you, One, I am glad you liked the pictures. I love looking at orchid pictures too!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Bangchik. Spring is coming, I know, but the last few weeks of waiting are especially hard.
ReplyDeleteWiosna idzie i przyjdzie, później jeszcze trochę poczekamy i zakwitną róże. Pozdrawiam
ReplyDeleteThank you, Giga!
ReplyDeleteAh, gorgeous. I could look at these roses all day! Especially Alphonse Maillé and Apple Blossom. Too beautiful for words those are.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos Masha! I might think I was in heaven in this garden.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sweetbay, me too! It is hard to believe someone like me can be so addicted as to look at thousands of close-ups of roses and not get tired of it...
ReplyDeleteThank you, Carol, me too. Every time I see a rose in full bloom, I come home thinking I have to have it!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Little signs of spring are coming up, but OH! I am ready for the roses to bloom!
ReplyDeleteYes, HolleyGarden, me too! It has been chilly and rainy here and I can't wait for warmth and roses in bloom.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! I can only dream ...
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! I can't wait for the roses to start blooming.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Christine. Sometimes, after all these winter months, it seems to me too that such roses could only be in dreams.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Olga, me either:). We are only weeks away....
ReplyDeleteThank you, Fawne, and I am sorry I seem not to have answered your comment before - I thought I did... I can't wait for spring either, but it is coming soon!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photography! Thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for coming to my blog! I am happy to meet you.
ReplyDeleteI'm positive now. Spring is definitely here. Yours is coming soon. As always, beautiful photos, Masha.
ReplyDeleteSoon ? It seems so long ! Here we have to wait till May for the first roses... Your photos are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sherry, I am counting on soon too, even though it is cold and rainy right now..
ReplyDeleteI am sorry Isabelle, here they begin in March, although the main peak doesn't happen until April, still just weeks away.
ReplyDeleteHello Masha! Your blog is beautiful and your photos are wonderful ! Thanks you for the dream...
