Their season is past its peak, but there was still a lot to see, and the simple beauty of wild flowers and grasses made a welcome change from the exuberance of garden cultivars I see day to day.

ReplyDeleteMasha, you took some awesome pictures! I planted some Ithuriel's Spear in the garden, here it is everything but a wildflower! The picture with the yellow thistle and the butterfly is something you should print and frame! Beautiful. Tell me the truth, did you make a deal with that butterfly, posing for you here and there?

ReplyDeleteSai quanto io ami i fiori selvatici, i lupini, le salvie, ed ho fatto anche io di recente un post sulle carote selvatiche, presenti ovunque nella mia Sardegna insieme alle scabiose selvatiche rosa.
La prima foto, è una bulbosa che ho in giardino, e si chiama Triteleia laxa, è sbocciata anche nel mio giardino.
